Welcome to CRAVES SOUL FOOD-
November 25,2009 – Its been a little over a month since my husband and I visited your establishment and I still haven’t forgotten the southern hospitality that was shown us during our visit. We arrived in Charleston on Friday Oct. 16th and spent the evening looking for somewhere to enjoy some truly down home southern (South Carolina) cuisine. On Saturday after a day of sightseeing we were directed to your restaurant by one of the locals, in fact he said he worked there. The service was wonderful and the lady and young man that waited on us were terrific, they were so hospitable. I ordered oxtails & collard greens and my husband wanted Shrimp and grits, but that was not on the Sat. menu.
While we waited for our food, our hostess let us sample com com bread (delicious), new twist on iced tea and explained what Prioleau dishes were. When our food arrived (quick service) it was delicious and plentiful, I was so full I had to order my peach cobbler to go.
I have told all my friends when they visit the Charleston area, be sure to stop by Craves. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, it was definitely one of the highlights of our weekend. We look forward to our next visit to the area, first stop “CRAVES”.
Sincerely,
Barbara & Michael Jones

The sides of collards, hoppin johns, mac and cheese were sooooooo good. We were full and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good home cooking. Can’t wait until it’s open. The full menu has so many things that we both want to try. Thanks for inviting us and keep up the good cooking.”- Terri
2009- “I had the pleasure of enjoying CRAVES Soul Food two days in a row while attending the annual Kingdom Life Ministries Women’s Retreat this year. The Shrimp and Grits were absolutely, hands down, “DA Best!” The grits had a perfect creamy consistency, and the shrimp were large enough to really hold the flavor of the gravy. One the second day, the PESTO sauce was definitely a hit. Not to go unmentioned, was the outstanding service and hospitality afforded to us by every member of the CRAVES team. They are BLESSED with the gift to cook, and with truly warm hearts. The only thing I can complain about is the fact that I live in a different state, and can’t have that down-home goodness more often. Thanks for a Wonderful dining experience!!”
